I am Jean McKee, an artist who tries to show our beautiful world in a colorful and magical way.

I am self-trained and work with bright vivid colors and realistic subjects. I use oils, acrylics and watercolors to depict a variety of subjects, including nautical and street scenes and tropical vistas. After photographing the subjects, I interpret them into more colorful and moody realism. My renditions are often described as having "Happy Colors." The composition flows and keeps the observers eye engaged. It took many years of value distribution and the combining of colors to master the craft.

Since I began my career in 1982, I have exhibited in galleries in New Orleans, Orlando, Memphis, Birmingham, Gulf Shores and Fairhope. I have participated in over 300 outdoor art shows in the South. I have won several First Place and Merit awards and have been chosen to design posters for numerous art shows.

Of course, this means nothing if you, and you alone, do not appreciate what I do. Please review just some of my work as shown on this website and let me know if there is something I can create for you.
